At the January 14 meeting, the Addison City Council approved a $1,526,233 construction services agreement with C. Green Scaping, LP for Phase 1 of the Beltway Drive Trail Bike Lanes and Green Space Improvements. This project, a key element of Addison’s City-Wide Trails Master Plan, focuses on enhancing connectivity and safety for pedestrians and cyclists.

Phase 1 includes:

  • Two-way buffered bike lanes from Marsh Lane to Midway Road.
  • Bike boulevards from Midway Road to Belt Line Road.
  • An off-road shared-use path through the Beltway Drive Greenspace, providing a safe and scenic corridor for active transportation.

The plan incorporates feedback from a public input survey and was developed with a focus on safety, affordability, and functionality. Additional project costs include $225,000 for Phase 2 and $18,000 for Oncor light relocation.
