Operations
Addison Fire Department personnel are cross-trained to provide both EMS and fire-related services. Our Fire Department answers approximately 4,000 calls for service each year, of which 2/3 are EMS related. All operations personnel are paramedics and certified aircraft rescue firefighters.
Addison shares a Fire Training Facility with Carrollton, Coppell, and Farmers Branch.
Joint Fire Training Center
The Joint Fire Training Center is owned by the cities of Addison, Carrollton, Coppell, and Farmers Branch and is located at 13333 Hutton Drive in Farmers Branch.
The $2.3 million, custom designed, six-story training tower built with gas fired props allows our department the opportunity to train on live fire drills throughout the year to maintain proficiency and learn the latest firefighting skills. This simulated fire training is invaluable to our firefighters and helps prepare us for real life situations.
