The redesign of the project service utilities/connections is to be completed by Icon engineers due to UDR's vertical construction changes in the building layout. Design planned to compete - on hold pending approval by the Town for the new proposed building layout.
Recent changes in the updated design of the Vitruvian development have affected the grading, drainage, water, wastewater, utilities, and alignment of roads for the Bella Lane North Connector Project.
Based on this information City Council rejected the bids received for the project.
Staff intends to re-issue the Request for Bids once the changes in the project design are finalized.
Bids were opened for the construction of the project.
City Council approved a design contract with Icon Consulting Engineers, Inc. to perform the design work for the Bella Lane North Connector Reconstruction Project because of their experience and familiarity with the project area. Icon has designed both the public and private portions of the improvements for all phases of the Vitruvian Development making them uniquely qualified to perform these services due to their extensive knowledge of the entire development.
